Berkeley, CA, November 8, 2021 – ARRIS, a California-based advanced manufacturer enabling the use of high-performance composites in mass-market products and industrial applications, today announced Hartmut Liebel has joined as the Chief Operating Officer.
Liebel’s extensive leadership experience, spanning 20+ years, further strengthens the executive team at ARRIS as the company continues to scale its global operations. Prior to his most recent role as Chief Executive Officer of Sanmina Corporation, an integrated manufacturing solutions company, Liebel held multiple executive positions across industries, including Jabil, a worldwide manufacturing services company.
“ARRIS is well-positioned to drive a transformative shift across industries in how mass-market products are designed and manufactured,” said Liebel. “The ARRIS team is making a significant difference in how top brands around the world deploy next-gen, innovative products at scale.”
“It’s rare to find manufacturing leaders that have scaled divisions from tens of millions to billions in revenue, and Hartmut has not only done that, he’s also run multi-billion-dollar companies. He has the ideal background for what lies ahead for ARRIS,” said Ethan Escowitz, CEO and Founder of ARRIS. “This addition to our team is invaluable as we scale to meet the increasing demand for our technology in consumer products, mobility, transportation, and industrial applications.”
Founded in 2017, the ARRIS team today employs robotics, automation, material development, engineering disciplines, and software development to enable award-winning breakthrough product differentiation for its customers.
In 2021, ARRIS ranked as one of Fast Company’s “10 Most Innovative Manufacturers.” Recognition includes East Bay EDA’s 2021 Innovation Award in Advanced Manufacturing, the Business Intelligence Group’s 2021 BIG Innovation Annual Award, the Chicago Athenaeum’s GOOD DESIGN Award for 2021, and Red Dot’s 2020 Design Concept Award.
