CES 2023: Made To Outperform with Team ARRIS

Anticipation for CES 2023 is building, and nearly 100,000 attendees are expected; that’s nearly 50% bigger than last year! Since CES 2022, the ARRIS team has continued its innovative work on Additive Molding for portable electronics, including a featured white paper on advanced composites for multifunctional design processes of radio frequency devices. The paper demonstrates that a topology-optimized case (i.e., the back cover of a mobile phone), designed via ARRIS’ proprietary software tools, was lighter and three times stiffer than the control part, in addition to achieving comparable RF transparency. Additive Molding enables better next-gen electronics by integrating antennae into RF transparent enclosures that maximize design space for bigger batteries and other functionalities consumers expect from top electronics brands. In a recent survey hosted by ARRIS, Americans who plan to buy portable electronics in 2023 want the latest technology but specifically devices that have better battery life and greater durability.
