2024 BIG Innovation Award: Carbon Fiber Spokes

Recognized For The 4th Consecutive Year: Next-Gen ARRIS MTO Carbon Fiber Bicycle Spokes

Berkeley, CA, January 10, 2024ARRIS, founded in 2017, is challenging what’s possible with advanced composites across industries. From drones and airplanes to footwear and bicycles, the advanced manufacturing team is enabling the use of more sustainable, high-performance, continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites at scale for mass-market products. Today, ARRIS announced its recognition as a 2024 Big Innovation Award winner by the Business Intelligence Group for the fourth year in a row.

“Humanity relies on innovation to improve our lives and the planet,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “We are so proud to reward the products, people, and companies helping to improve the lives of so many people.”

The award recognizes ARRIS MTO Spokes (Made To Outperform®), a next-gen carbon spoke designed, engineered, and manufactured using ARRIS’ software, materials, and manufacturing technology platform called Additive Molding: “…our obsession with advanced composites is only part of what led us to create the next generation of carbon fiber spokes—we love to ride, and our affinity for all things bicycles sparked us to make the kind of spokes we’d actually rely on ourselves.”
